This coin = Münzen & Medaillen FPL 560 (Nov/Dec 1992), 109. The crescent is there interpreted as a torque. The cataloger comments on its potential Celtiberian origin: "Das Stück stammt aus Spanien, es könnte sich um eine gallische Prägung aus Südfrankreich oder um eine keltiberisch/punische Münzstatte handeln."

Sorry about the typo. The date is clearly AH1096 not AH1196.

Regarding the reverse: if the figure on the left were the emperor he would NOT be depicted smaller than the empress, as he is on ALL specimens of the Antioch CONCORDIA AVG issue with the P F AVG obverse legend. Ergo, the figure on the left represents, and is, the personification of the Roman Senate and is not Aurelian.

This coin very likely Schoenert-Geiss 476 (not illustrated, but described as "2.70 - Guadan" & apparently this rev. die). A second specimen from this collection was given a weight of 2.70g in Vico sales but actually weighs 2.46g (Guadán 1870 = Vico 160, 242 corr. [weight] = Vico e-19, 223 corr. [weight]).
