This text description contains an error in a reference. It states Sambon 513. This is incorrect. Sambon 513 has a head of Helios symbol on the obverse. The correct reference is Sambon 520 (pentagram symbol).

Corr.: Ref. should be Lindgren & Kovacs 2610.
No. 2613 is Centaur Sagittarius prancing rev. (vol. I, p. 140, not vol. II, p. 140).

Also note that this specimen was reportedly returned after being condemned (from photos in a public online discussion) as a fake by J. Muona & B. Murphy ("The original coin is either tooled or fake. I’d want to see it in hand to confirm which."). See https://cointalk.com/posts/8344857 & https://www.cointalk.com/posts/8343098

This coin is not belong to the Danishmendid ruler. It was struck by as-Salih Ismail (AH 569-577), the Zangid ruler, probably in AH 571. You can clearly see the caliph name, al-Mustansir, on the reverse of the coin.

The date has been retooled, to an earlier date. Shame as this is a 1647 Tapia issue, which is much rarer.
