Correction: 952.2 was not published in Burrer (1993). Note: Burrer 99 = SNG Cop 340. BCD's notes indicate this coin is of the same dies, but was acquired in Dec. 1996.

this coin from the Bally-Herzog collection can be attributed to the "Gertrudenstraße hoard", Cologne, 1909: Following Regling/Lederer, Zeitschrift für Numismatik 38, 1928, p.70, coins of the hoard have been acquired from Leo Hamburger, who offered them for sale begin of 1910. Regling:
"Wir sahen Anfang 1910 bei Leo Hamburger mehrere stempelfrische Goldmünzen der severischen Zeit, die gewiß aus dem Funde stammten".

J. P. Lambros 1893; Sir Hermann Weber, No 3907; Henri de Nanteuil de Norville, Florange et Ciani, 1925, No. 950; Hess-Leu 31, 6 December 1966, Lot 349, estimate 400 CHF selling for 600 CHF; Maison Palombo 21, 28 January 2023, Lot 40. BCD and Triton provenances mentioned in the Maison Palombo are incorrect. The Photiades Pacha auction of 1890 featured a coin with the same description – Lot 989. It is possible that Lambros purchased this coin at this auction.
